Dear Critters,
Just wanted to inform you on behalf of its editor: Viaggiatori, a new peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes in Italian, English and French, has launched its first CFP.
It might be of interest to some of you.

“The journal Viaggiatori intends to open an international and interdisciplinary window for debate on the topic of travel in all its forms. The journey, viewed in all its facets, has become a major subject of study, both in the recent cultural and social history and in the researches related to other similar disciplines such as anthropology and geography.

Throughout history, writers, artists, engineers, exiles, missionaries have sailed the old continent, crossed the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, weaving paths and experiences and building interesting networks of relationships.

The journal aims at encouraging the flow of new contributions so as to offer further food for thoughts on the implications of travel regarding both the travellers’ communities of origin and the hosting ones, in economic, political, religious, cultural, technical and scientific terms.

The first CFP is out. It deals with Exiles (from the 12th to the 20th century).
Authors are invited to submit articles in any of the following topic areas:
· Administrative and legal procedures for welcoming exiles;
· Interactions between exiles and the welcoming community;
· Definition and designation of exile.
Article submissions may not exceed two pages (overall 4,400 characters, spaces included) and be drafted in Italian, English or French. The articles must not be under review or submitted elsewhere for publication.
Article submissions shall include a short biographical sketch of the author and be sent to the editorial office of the journal (direzione@viaggiatorijournal.com; segreteriaredazione@viaggiatorijournal.com) by January 31, 2017.”
