Resumen

SOSTENIBILITÀ E RESILIENZA DEL PATRIMONIO DIGITALE – Le Digital Humanities (nate più di quaranta anni fa) si affermeranno e diffonderanno definitivamente a partire dalla metà degli anni Novanta del Novecento. Benché molti progetti siano stati indirizzati alla creazione di sistemi di catalogazione e analisi, con l’avvento del web 2.0 nei primi anni del primo decennio del XXI secolo diversi progetti hanno avuto come obiettivo la pubblicazione di versioni digitali di documenti storici. Molte di queste esperienze hanno avuto una rilevante connotazione geografico-territoriale. Si trattava comunque di progetti che si sono configurati come veri e propri ecosistemi caratterizzati, da una parte, da utenti e fruitori e dall’altra da sistemi hardware e software utili alla continuità e alla sostenibilità dei meccanismi di consultazione. Un aspetto poco discusso, ma che emerge maggiormente dall’esperienza di sviluppo di questi ecosistemi, è il fatto che uno dei problemi più complessi sia legato alla loro sopravvivenza e longevità. I vincoli legati alla loro longevità sono per la maggior parte tecnici e connessi alle tecnologie utilizzate. Altrettanto rilevante è la lettura e l’analisi sui dati di utilizzo degli utenti.

SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCE OF DIGITAL HERITAGE – Digital Humanities (born more than forty years ago) established themselves and spread definitively from the mid-nineties of the 20th Century. Although many projects have been developed as classification and analysis systems, with the advent of web 2.0 in the early years of the first decade of the 21st century, many projects had as their main objective the digital publication of historical documents. Many of these experiences have had a significant geographical-territorial implications. However, these were projects that were configured as true ecosystems characterized, on the one hand, by users and on the other, hardware and software systems useful for the continuity and sustainability of the consultation mechanisms. One of the less discussed aspects, but which emerges most from the experience of development of these projects, is precisely how one of the most complex problems is precisely correlated to the survival and longevity of these ecosystems. Many of the limitations linked to their longevity are technical and connected to the technologies used. Equally relevant is the interpretation and analysis of user usage data.
