Resumo
METODOLOGIE ED ESITI DELLA RICERCA NELL’AMBITO DEL PROGETTO INT4CT - La presente indagine è parte integrante del progetto DYNASK: Atlante Dinamico di Roma e della sua Area Metropolitana, coordinato da Antonio Pugliano, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Dipartimento di Architettura, ed è componente del progetto INT4CT, che mira allo sviluppo di un Museo Virtuale di Roma. La gestione dei dati provenienti dalle ricerche congiunte all’interno del laboratorio ha evidenziato l’impellente necessità di introdurre una categorizzazione standardizzata delle informazioni, adottando un approccio interdisciplinare per ampliare la conoscenza del territorio. Per ciascun ambito di ricerca, è stato istituito un database funzionale e uniforme, conforme alle esigenze di funzionalità e semplificazione delle informazioni, mediante l’impiego di definizioni univoche. Grazie all’integrazione di dati storici e archeologici, in sinergia con alcune delle più avanzate tecnologie informatiche, è stato possibile gettare nuova luce sui fenomeni urbani e arricchire la comprensione dei mutamenti verificatisi nella storia di Roma. L’impiego dei modelli tridimensionali ha altresì consentito di superare le limitazioni tipiche delle tradizionali rappresentazioni cartografiche, offrendo una prospettiva più completa e
realistica delle tematiche oggetto di studio. La ricerca si dedica al recupero del patrimonio immateriale rappresentato dagli itinerari storici, con l’obiettivo di guidare i moderni pellegrini alla fruizione consapevole della città proponendo tre itinerari museali urbani che possano fungere da paradigmi ispiratori dei percorsi liturgici alto medievali. La complessità della gestione dei dati è stata quindi affrontata tramite un approccio metodologico coerente e standardizzato: i risultati sono stati indubbiamente positivi in un’ottica di conduzione snella e pragmatica della ricerca storica che deve necessariamente configurarsi come la base solida per lo svolgimento di qualsiasi tema progettuale.
METHODOLOGIES AND RESULTS OF INT4CT RESEARCH - This survey is an integral part of the Dynamic Atlas of Rome and its Metropolitan Area project and is a component of the INT4CT project, which aims at developing a Virtual Museum of Rome. The management of data from joint research within the laboratory has highlighted the urgent need to introduce a standardized categorization of information, adopting an interdisciplinary approach to expand knowledge of the area. For each area of research, a functional and uniform database was set up, compliant with the needs of functionality and simplification of information, through the use of unique definitions. Thanks to the integration of historical and archaeological data, in synergy with some of the most advanced information technologies, it has been possible to shed new light on urban phenomena and enrich the understanding of the changes that have taken place in the history of Rome. The use of three-dimensional models has also made it possible to overcome the typical limitations of traditional cartographic representations, offering a more complete and realistic perspective of the subjects under study. The research is dedicated to the recovery of the intangible heritage represented by historical itineraries, with the aim of guiding modern pilgrims to the conscious use of the city by proposing three urban museum itineraries that can act as inspiring paradigms of the early medieval liturgical itineraries. The complexity of data management was therefore tackled through a coherent and standardized methodological approach: the results were undoubtedly positive from the point of view of streamlined and pragmatic conduct of historical research which must necessarily take the form of a solid basis for carrying out any project theme.
